Top 5 News and Magazines Apps Performance on Android in Ghana, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the performance of top News and Magazines apps on the Android platform in Ghana showed varied trends in terms of downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Opera News: breaking & local saw a gradual decline in weekly downloads starting from early July at over 20K, dropping to around 8.8K by the end of September. Its weekly active users also experienced a slight decrease, from approximately 162K at the beginning of the quarter to about 137K by the end.

Breaking News - Live Headlines demonstrated a positive trend in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads began at about 2K, peaking at 4.5K by the end of September. Similarly, active users increased steadily from around 5K to approximately 13.3K over the quarter.

Quora: the knowledge platform saw relatively stable weekly download numbers, fluctuating slightly around the 2K mark, with a minor increase towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained consistent, hovering around 48K to 50K throughout the period.

TrendsNews GHANA experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads from over 1.7K in early July to just above 1K by the end of September. Unfortunately, data on active users for this app was not available.

Google News - Daily Headlines saw a sharp decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 1.5K and falling to about 257 by the end of September. The app's active users also decreased from around 6.5K to 6.1K over the quarter.
